Brand settings

Logos, colors, watermarks, links, and how your emails feel.

Brand settings is one tab with a lot in it. Everything you save here flows into every PDF, reminder email, and pasted Shopify template. Live preview on the right updates as you edit.

Company information

Your company name, address, phone, and reply-to email. The reply-to is the address customers see if they hit reply on a Pendulum reminder. Set this to a real inbox you check. Invoice footer text is one line that renders below the totals on PDFs, and inside the customer email footer if you have the toggle on (see Email personalization below).

Logos

Two slots: one for a logo on light backgrounds, one for a logo on dark backgrounds. Most merchants put a colored or black wordmark in the first slot and a white wordmark in the second. PNG, JPEG, or WebP, up to 2MB.

The dark logo is also used at the top of every customer email, because the email header band is always dark navy. If you only upload a light logo it will still render there but may be hard to read.

Watermarks

Watermarks render behind the main content of the PDF. Two slots (light and dark theme), plus a size slider (50 to 300) and alignment (left, center, right). PNG or JPEG only; the PDF engine doesn't render WebP or SVG.

Brand palette and per-element colors

Build a small palette of brand hex colors, then assign them to specific elements: header background, header text, accent (used for primary buttons and links), text, muted text, row alternation, divider lines, background. Light and dark themes are configured independently using the Light / Dark toggle.

Five preset themes (Classic, Warm, Ocean, Minimal, Forest) load both light and dark in one click. Pick a preset to start, then tweak.

Banking and W-9 buttons

Two optional buttons that appear in customer emails and on invoice PDFs:

  • Banking & ACH instructions. Renders before payment. Link to a PDF, a shared note, or anything with your routing info. Customers see this on draft invoice emails and reminder emails for unpaid orders.
  • Tax documents (W-9). Renders at every stage including paid orders. Customer can grab your W-9 without having to email you.

Both buttons hide automatically when the URL is empty. The button labels are also editable (default labels are View Banking & ACH Info and View W-9).

Email personalization

Two checkboxes plus an optional image upload, controlling the bottom of every customer email Pendulum is involved with.

Include company info block

Renders your company name, address, and phone at the bottom of customer emails. On by default. Pulls from the Company information section at the top of Brand settings.

Include footer text

Renders your Invoice footer text at the bottom of customer emails. On by default.

Email signature mark (optional)

A small image (your scanned signature, a wordmark, an icon-only version of your logo, or a brand stamp) rendered centered at the very bottom of customer emails. 150px wide, PNG/JPEG/WebP, up to 2MB. Adds a hand-signed feel.

After changing any of these settings, re-copy your Shopify notification templates from Notifications and paste them again. Some changes (toggle on/off for blocks) bake into the template at copy time. Reminder emails pick up the changes automatically without a re-paste because Pendulum sends those directly.

Send from your own domain (Pro)

A Pro-tier feature. Submit a domain you own, add 2 DNS records, and Pendulum will start sending reminder emails from invoices@yourdomain.com. Full walkthrough in Verified sender.
